The Journal of Learning for Development provides a forum for the publication of research with a focus on innovation in learning, in particular but not exclusively open and distance learning, and its contribution to development. Content includes interventions that change social and/or economic relations, especially in terms of improving equity. JL4D publishes research articles, book reviews and reports from the field from researchers, scholars and practitioners, and seeks to engage a broad audience across that spectrum. The Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration is a peer-reviewed electronic journal offered free each quarter over the World Wide Web. The journal welcomes manuscripts based on original work of practitioners and researchers with specific focus or implications for the management of distance education programs.


Open Praxis is a peer-reviewed open access scholarly journal focusing on research and innovation in open, distance and flexible education. It is published by the International Council for Open and Distance Education – ICDE. Open Praxis welcomes contributions which demonstrate creative and innovative research, and which highlight challenges, lessons and achievements in the practice of distance and e-learning from all over the world. An article may present research or surveys of recent work, describe original work, or discuss new technology and its possibilities, implications and/or other related issues.


The journal aims to promote research and disseminating information about distance education. PJDOL explores topics about all teaching-learning relationships where the learners are geographically separated, and communication takes place through radio and television, internet, teleconferences and recordings, printed study guides, and multimedia systems such as audio and video broadcasts, teleconferences and internet. The journal covers all aspects of distance education, non-formal education, adult education, online learning, e-learning, distributed learning, asynchronous learning, and blended learning.


The International Journal on Open and Distance e-Learning (IJODeL) is a bi-annual, open-access, and refereed online journal committed to the promotion of Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL) worldwide.


TOJDE is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic distance education journal. Although distance education has now a history of over 150 years, with the unprecedented developments in digital technologies and new paradigms, there has been an ever-increasing demand for experts and expertise in distance education. An understanding of the complex world of distance education today clearly requires a reliable knowledge of the current state of art and data-driven projections of future. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education.
